Lactation Consultant IBCLC
Tongue Tie Practitioner
Hello from Latch World!
I am Carla Rodrigues, a Registered Midwife, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Tongue Tie Practitioner originally from Portugal.
I qualified as a nurse in Portugal in 2004 and since then have been working with mothers and their babies.
I qualified as a midwife in 2010 in Republic of Ireland and since 2011 have been working in UK in the NHS.
Because I am so passionate about breastfeeding decided to continue to develop my skills and qualified as a Lactation Consultant in 2015.
In 2018 I qualified as a Tongue Tie Practitioner in Southampton, England.
In 2019 I trained to become a Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner.
I am a parent of three children. My oldest little one was a premature baby and had some feeding difficulties in the beginning. She then ended up breastfeeding exclusively and weaned up naturally at 3 years old. My second child breastfed until 2 years old. Recently had a baby who is tongue-tied so I am now having my personal struggles with a baby with tongue-tie.
I love to help other parents in this amazing journey, that is not always easy, and would like to continue to help and support you and your family to achieve your goals regarding feeding.
I am based in Fife and all consultations will be in the comfort of your home. I am willing to travel within a reasonable distance, that can be agreed when booking a consultation.
If you are pregnant, had a baby recently or have any questions and concerns contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org.
I will be happy to help you!
My full is name Carla Cristina de Sousa Rodrigues. You can check all my qualifications.
